Season 22, Day 12 - "You Don't Have to Tell Me Thrice"
It's Hot week, and today's quiz is inspired by "Hot Hot Hot."
“Hot Hot Hot”
“Hot Hot Hot” was a song written and originally recorded by a Montserratian Calypso musician known as Arrow. It was a minor chart hit in the U.S. when it was covered by American singer Buster Poindexter in 1987. Buster Poindexter was actually the lounge singer alter ego of David Johansen, the frontman for the ‘70s proto-punk band the New York Dolls (who have been nominated in recent years for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but have not yet gotten in). Often heard at weddings and on cruise chips, Johansen has called the popular earworm “the bane of my existence.”
