Season 26, Day 2 - "That's a Mouthful!"
It's "Apple" week, and today's quiz is inspired by Fiona Apple.
Fiona Apple
When the pawn hits the conflicts he thinks like a king
What he knows throws the blows when he goes to the fight
And he'll win the whole thing 'fore he enters the ring
There's no body to batter when your mind is your might
So when you go solo, you hold your own hand
And remember that depth is the greatest of heights
And if you know where you stand, then you know where to land
And if you fall it won't matter, cuz you'll know that you're right(full title of Fiona Apple’s When the Pawn…)
Fiona Apple (born Fiona Apple McAfee-Maggart) is an American singer-songwriter. Her debut studio album Tidal, released before her 19th birthday in 1996, went triple platinum in the U.S. and produced the singles “Shadowboxer,” “Sleep to Dream,” and the smash hit “Criminal,” famous for the controversial music video featuring Apple in various states of undress. Her follow-up album When the Pawn… was titled after a poem she wrote in response to reactions to an unfavorable story about her in Spin magazine. The 444-character title briefly held the record for longest album title until it was surpassed by the 865-character full title of Chumbawamba’s The Boy Bands Have Won. Apple has since released three more albums, Extraordinary Machine, The Idler Wheel…, and Fetch the Bolt Cutters, which won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album.
