Real Steel

Reel Steel is a 2011 science fiction movie starring Hugh Jackman. It’s based on “Steel,” a short story by Richard Matheson (I Am Legend) which later became an episode of The Twilight Zone. In the film, human boxers have been replaced by robots, and a former boxer (Jackman) builds and trains his own robot with his son. The movie’s use of animatronics and motion capture technology earned it an Oscar nomination for Best Visual Effects. A Disney+ series based on Real Steel is currently in development.
