Hi everyone! Congrats to School of Trivia subscriber Mark Lashley, who became a Jeopardy! champion this week!!

El Camino Real

El Camino Real (Spanish for “the royal road”) was a 600-mile coastal highway extending from San Diego to Sonoma. It connected 21 Spanish missions and 4 presidios built in California in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. El Camino Real was also the name of a historical road that went from Mexico City to Santa Fe and a 16th century highway in Spain, where the name has come to refer to any important highway. Camino Real is the title of a play by Tennessee Williams.
