Party of Five is a TV drama that aired on Fox from 1994 to 2000. The show follows the five siblings of the Salinger family after the loss of their parents in a car accident. In descending order of age: Charlie (played by Matthew Fox) is diagnosed with cancer; Bailey (Scott Wolf) struggles with alcoholism; Julia (Neve Campbell) has an abusive boyfriend; Claudia (Lacey Chabert) is a violin prodigy; baby Owen is played by several actors throughout the series. Other notable actors on the show include Jeremy London and Jennifer Love Hewitt. The BoDeans song “Closer to Free,” used as the show’s theme music, peaked at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100.
