Alan Young
Alan Young was a British-born actor. Often playing a well-meaning young man who was always getting into trouble, he has been called “the Charlie Chaplin of television.” He is perhaps best known for his role as Wilbur on the talking horse sitcom Mister Ed. He was also the voice of Disney’s Scrooge McDuck for over 40 years. He won a Best Actor Emmy for his variety comedy show, The Alan Young Show and starred in the 1960 film adaptation of H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine.
