Season 28, Day 3 - "Write What You Know"
It's Act week, and today's quiz is inspired by Act One.
Act One
“Moss Hart's ‘Act One’ is not only the best book ever written about the American theater, but one of the great American autobiographies.”
Act One is an autobiography by playwright Moss Hart. The popular memoir, which spent nearly a year on the New York Times best-seller list after it was released in 1959, tells the story of Hart’s long struggle to Broadway success. In 1963, Act One was made into a movie of the same name starring George Hamilton as Moss Hart. A stage version premiered on Broadway in 2014, with Tony Shalhoub playing multiple roles: Hart, Hart’s father, and frequent collaborator George S. Kaufman. The play was also filmed for the PBS series Live from Lincoln Center.
