Season 29 results

Hi everyone! I’ll send out a full report when I finish compiling the stats, but in the meantime, here are the Season 29 results:

Sweet Charity

“Hey big spender, spend a little time with me”

Sweet Charity is a musical written by Neil Simon with music by Cy Coleman and lyrics by Dorothy Fields. It’s based on the 1957 Federico Fellini film Nights of Cabiria. The original Broadway run was directed and choreographed by Bob Fosse and starred his wife, redheaded Tony-winning actress Gwen Verdon. Verdon played Charity Valentine, a dancer at the Fandango ballroom in New York City’s Times Square. The title character was later played by Shirley MacLaine in a 1969 film adaptation (Fosse’s directorial debut), and Debbie Allen and Christina Applegate in 1986 and 2005 revivals, respectively. Featured songs include “Big Spender” and “If My Friends Could See Me Now.”
